In the 1930's the Oddie Fastener was developed for the aircraft industry by Oddie, Bradbury and Cull based in Southampton, and were used on many aircraft at that time. The studs and clips were added to the drawings of one of our own British built aircraft, the 'Spitfire'.
On Friday 16th December 2022, Mike Chapman and I delivered our first order to the Aircraft Restoration Company in Duxford. They fly and maintain a number of aircraft including the Spitfire. Some of the aircraft have been changed from single to twin seater Spitfires which gives enthusiasts the chance of a lifetime....a flight in the iconic Spitfire.
The Oddie Fasteners supplied are to be used to hold panels in place which require quick release as and when maintenance is required.
